Rideamotorcycle.com is the newest motorcycle Internet web site, one that takes a totally fresh approach to catering to the street-oriented two-wheeled enthusiast. Rideamotorcycle.com is focused on 3 groups; the established street motorcycle rider, new motorcyclists, or those who do not currently ride motorcycles but are curious about learning to do so. The freedom of two-wheeled touring makes a great release from the everyday grind of life. But for some, the motorcycle is a useful tool that becomes an important part of a community.

The towns around Asheville, North Carolina were those kind of towns in the middle part of the last century. Before the age of the internet and even the widespread availability of telephones, Western Union telegrams were the principal mode of sending and receiving a message, especially in the idyllic Appalachian Mountains. For forty years, a man named Vernon Moore ran telegrams to people in the community on board his black and yellow Harley-Davidson.

The old H-D became more than just a machine. It symbolized announcements of new births, word of deaths, and many other messages. The rumble of Vernon's v-twin reverberating in the hills meant news for someone.

Moore eventually retired, and the telegram gave way to the telephone, email, and the now-ubiquitious cell phone. His Harley, after decades of being disassembled and stored in boxes, is now being restored.
